Judge Dorothy French for Circuit Court Judge

Thank you for visiting my campaign website. On February 2, 2010, the voters of DuPage County will have the opportunity of voting in the Republican primary. On the ballot will be three offices for Circuit Court Judge. The purpose of this website is to provide the voter with my judicial philosophy and experience so that you can make an educated and informed choice when you go to the polls.

My husband, Rich and I are proud to have raised our daughter, Kate, with DuPage County family values. My 21 years as a civil trial lawyer and 8 years as an associate judge hearing civil disputes help make up the fabric of my character. People's rights in private civil disputes matter. It is important to elect judges experienced in following the law and exercising common sense to resolve those private disputes. Litigation is expensive. The sooner such disputes are resolved, the better for all concerned.

A good judge is fair, follows the law, is consistent in her rulings and makes prompt, considered and clear decisions. She is independent from the pressures of any one group or person. She offers experience, character, wisdom, integrity, dedication, and respect to the people who appear before her. A good judge is not judgmental, but able to make decisions with an open mind.
